MDCC GUIDE TO USING THE NET FACILITY

 

All activity should be consistent with the Government guidance regarding health, social distancing and hygiene.

 

MDCC acknowledges that the ECB maintains the position that all recreational cricket remains suspended until further notice, with the sole exception of the use of outdoor cricket facilities (nets and pitches) for the purpose of undertaking exercise as set out in their detailed guidance document.

 

The adjusted lockdown restrictions provide an opportunity for the use of outdoor cricket facilities (nets and pitches) for the purpose of undertaking exercise.

 

MDCC Rules of Use

• ONLY the right hand/nearest net is to be used, the one nearest the north field MUST NOT be used

• A booking MUST be made with David Gillett on WhatsApp or text 07538 951551who will keep a log of who has used the facility. This MUST detail when you wish to use the facility, who you intend to use it with and MUST be acknowledged before the session is commenced.

• You MUST, when booking, check for symptoms of

COVID-19. If you are symptomatic, living in a household with a possible COVID-19 infection or if you are classified as extremely vulnerable on health grounds, you should remain at home and follow Government guidance.

• You MUST bring your own sanitiser and use this before and at the end of your session

• The nets are ONLY open to club members.

• As the main gates to the club are open, please park in the carpark and walk over to the nets

  • There are NO toilets open for use, please ensure you use your home toilet before your session.
  • Each session is STRICTLY limited to ONE HOUR and gaps of 30 minutes between sessions will be enforced
  • You MUST use your own equipment, MDCC will not provide anything
  • No saliva or sweat should come into contact with the ball at any time.
  • You can use the nets with members of your household or with one other person from outside your household while keeping two metres apart at all times. You must only exercise in groups of no more than two people, unless you are exercising exclusively with members of your household.
  • Social distancing of at least two metres must be maintained at all times (unless all participants are members of the same household).
